On this walk through Almeerderhout, discover the remarkable work of landscape art: the Green Cathedral. An impressive replica of the Gothic cathedral Notre-Dame from Reims, but with a special twist - this cathedral is not built of stone, but of wood. Artist Marinus Boezem brought this work of art to life in 1987, using 178 poplars that form the cathedral's floor plan. The concrete paths in turn symbolise the ribs of the cross vault. A unique experience that blurs the boundaries between art, nature and architecture.
