The Frans Vera path takes you on a walk through the Oostvaardersbos and overlooks the Oostvaardersplassen. The path is marked green and accessible to the disabled. Tip: bring some goodies and picnic in between. There are plenty of benches along the way.
The Frans Vera path takes you along the edge of the grassy area. The vastness of the Oostvaardersplassen is clearly noticeable here. Along the banks you have a fantastic view of the meadow plains and you might even spot one of the large grazers. The walk continues past a former fox den, or den of a fox. As many as 40 foxes live in Oostvaardersplassen. They are best known for their beautiful thick orange fur. Dogs are not welcome in this section.
The path is named after Frans Vera, a biologist a conservationist, who was involved in the nature development of Oostvaardersplassen, among other things.
