The Stobbenroute hiking trail runs entirely through the Reve-Abbert forest in the municipality of Dronten. Along the way, you may encounter sheep, as you walk along the grid where the sheep flock is sheared. These are sheep of the Swifter breed. You may also see grazing ponies and Lakenvelder cows along the way.
The Reve-Abbert forest is a combination of deciduous and coniferous trees. Bird species such as goshawk, woodcock, tree pipit and great and lesser spotted woodpecker inhabit this forest. And in autumn you can see more than five hundred species of mushrooms. Between the trees, the wide open fields offer space to play and picnic. Via the Hanze Strip, you can cycle straight to the village woods of Dronten.
The Stobbenroute starts at the Abbertweg car park, is 4.1 kilometres long and marked in dark blue.
