The Kromslootpark is a nature area between Almere Haven and Almere Poort and has undergone a large-scale refurbishment between 2019 and 2021. The area now characterises itself as a meeting between city dwellers and nature.
The common thread in the Kromslootpark is the Kromme Sloot, which runs through the entire area with winding dykes, surprising views, marsh, reed, forest and special residents such as the beaver, otter, whitethroat lily, tree falcon and bittern.
Walking route Rietzangerpad shows you the most beautiful spots of the Kromslootpark. Halfway, you pass a viewing hill, which gives you a wide view over the area. A little further on, you can watch waterbirds undisturbed from a beautiful bird hide. The route is accessible all year round, but there may be grazers in your path. Hence, dogs are not allowed here. The viewing hill, viewing screen and bird hide are wheelchair accessible.
