From beach to beach
The starting point of this route is at VVV Almere in the city centre. Rent a bike here and set off along the Weerwater. Here you will pass the Lumière beach, among other places. Then cycle on to Almere Haven, the oldest part of town with a cosy atmosphere and plenty of restaurants. A little further along is the Surfstrandje where you can enjoy swimming and surfing. A cycle path along the Gooimeer takes you to the Almeerderstrand and Strandbad DUIN. Enjoy the view and one of the terraces.

Break by the water
Along the largest catamaran beach in Europe, you cycle towards the Noorderplassen. Here lies the last beach of the route. Take a break here on Loetje's terrace with beautiful views over the Noorderplassen. Via the Leeghwaterplas, you cycle back to Almere Centrum. End the day with a delicious dinner in one of the many restaurants in the city centre.
