The Butterfly Path is a short and varied walk through forest and open countryside, discovering a small piece of the extensive nature in National Park Nieuw Land. The Butterfly Path starts and ends at De Oostvaarders Nature Experience Centre and is marked in dark blue.
The route itself is only 1 kilometre long, but including the part to and back to the Nature Experience Centre you walk about 3 kilometres.
In spring and summer, numerous butterflies show up, such as the day peacock and the thistle butterfly. The route is very suitable for children. Dogs are not welcome in this forest.
