The Grebe walking trail is a varied walk through the bird-rich Oostvaardersveld and the beautiful Hollandse Hout near the Oostvaardersplassen. The Dodaarspad is partly on unpaved paths, making it less suitable for the disabled. Part of the route is not accessible with dogs.
The starting point of the walking route is Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen. From here, follow the white pictograms to walk the 10 km route. The first part of the route takes you through Oostvaardersveld. A beautiful area rich in birds where you can also encounter groups of konik horses. From Oostvaardersveld, you eventually enter Hollandse Hout. A young forest where you may encounter deer, foxes and of course many birds. You walk along a recently created ditch where little grebes can regularly be admired. The route ends with a small climb up the Knardijk, after which you return to the Outdoor Centre, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. Along the way, you will also come across several benches, so you can take a break along the way as well.
The route starts at the Buitencentrum of the Oostvaardersplassen. Follow the white icons.
