Welcome to the Batavialand shipyard! Will you walk along the most important parts of the shipyard? During a visit to the shipyard accompanied by this audio tour, you will discover and experience the old ship crafts, such as shipbuilding, sail-making and rigging (ropes and wooden pulleys).

The Batavia was built over 10 years and is now maintained by the apprentice masters who, together with the participants in apprenticeships, keep the crafts alive. And then there are the many committed volunteers who help maintain the Batavia and work in the shipyard. Come and see them at work during your visit to the wharf.
