The Uilenpad [owl path] runs through the Oostvaardersbos and leads you past a lovely tree-lined avenue, where you can hear the woodland birds. The route starts from De Oostvaarders Nature Experience Centre and is the white route.
Parts of the Oostvaardersbos serve as a resting area for red deer in winter. The area is not accessible to hikers then, so this walk is temporarily closed. Notice of the closure can be read on the Oostvaardersplassen foresters' blog (only in Dutch). Dogs are not welcome in this forest.
