The Swamp Trail is a walk through the Oostvaardersveld in the Oostvaarderplassen, with beautiful ponds full of birds. So the barn swallows like to nest in the bird-watching huts, the songbirds show their best side and it is a true bird concert. You might even catch a glimpse of the white-tailed eagle, which occasionally shows itself over the area. You may also come face to face with a herd of konik horses. They live here in harems. Enjoy a possible encounter, but keep a good distance from these animals.
The route is 3.5 kilometres long and marked in dark blue. Dogs are allowed on the leash. At Buitencentrum Oostvaardersplassen, the start and end point of the walk, have a drink before or after the trip. Parking for bikes and cars is also available here. Dogs are allowed on this route.
