High up in the trees - Camping in a tree house

You name it, they have it at Buytenplaets Suydersee campsite in Lelystad: from a gypsy wagon to a tree house. And not just any tree house, but very attractively and cosily furnished. And then there are also hiker's huts, a polder house and a garden house where you can spend the night.

Nostalgic tram - with modern amenities

If things still aren't crazy enough for you, come and sleep in a sea container, a birdhouse or a tram at Netl de Wildste Tuin / Camping Kallumaan in Kraggenburg. The tram, which used to simply drive through the streets of Rotterdam, has been converted into cosy accommodation, with a cosy bedroom, a comfortable double bed and all the necessary amenities for a relaxing stay.

Sleeping on the water - Accessible only by canoe

Another unusual way to spend the night is floating on water. In the Horsterwold near Zeewolde, there is a cabiner on a raft: a modern ‘house’, fully equipped for sleeping and eating (cooking). Yet you have to be a bit of an adventurer to come and sleep here. After all, you can only get there by canoe and your stay is completely self-sufficient. Something for you?

Sleeping among the vines - a B&B in the middle of a vineyard

You might not have thought it, but wine is also made from its own grapes in Flevoland. So too at Life Contains Beautiful Things in Almere, where, as a guest of their B&B, you sleep in the middle of the vines. How special is that! The three cosy and fully equipped lodges are named after the grape varieties grown in the vineyard. Where would you rather sleep, in Cabernet, Johanniter or Sourvignier? Oh well, what the heck, in all three you will completely unwind.
