The spacious ‘De Grote Zilverreiger’ bird hide, opened by the Queen’s Commissioner (Flevoland) on 10 December 2005, is constructed to a unique design. The hut provides excellent views over the wide expanse of water and reed lands. There’s ample opportunity here for spotting bearded reedlings, bitterns, water rails and other birds who find their ideal biotope here. The route has been made accessible for wheelchair users.
