The Kotterbos woods are adjacent to the Oostvaardersplassen nature reserve. The woods feature poplars and wetlands with rugged reed marshes and willow copses; home to deer, foxes, hares and even the reclusive beaver. If you fish, enjoy casting your line in the nearby Vaart. For walkers this is a perfect starting point for trekking the Poplar Route (3.5 km) or the Oak Route (5 km).
