Gastvrij Schokland is located on the grounds of a former farm, in the south of the Noordoostpolder in Flevoland. Spend the night in one of the large holiday homes, which border the former Zuiderzee island of Schokland.
Schokland symbolises the fight against the encroaching water of the Zuiderzee. That is why Unesco has awarded Schokland the special status of World Heritage Site. The holiday homes lie directly on the walking route towards the former island. A tour around the island along with a visit to the museum and the old, ruined church is easily done on foot or bicycle. With its central location, Gastvrij Schokland is easy to reach from all corners of the country.
