The group accommodation “De Pionier”, together with the group accommodation “Het Landhuis” and the B&B rooms of Gastvrij Schokland, are located directly on the footpath leading to the former island. A tour of the island with a visit to the museum and the old church ruins can be done easily on foot or by bicycle. Because of its central location, Gastvrij Schokland is also easily accessible by car from all parts of the country.
The Pioneer is surrounded by its own garden, which is divided into a quiet garden on the north side and a playing field and terrace on the south side. This set-up ensures privacy for your group. There is also plenty of parking space on the premises.
The accommodation can accommodate up to 44 people, making it ideal for holding family and friends weekends, an association week/weekend, work weeks and/or summer camps.
The large accommodation area is divided into a dining area and a seating area. In the dining area there are large tables at which extensive meals can be taken, and there is a handy pass-through counter to the kitchen in this area. But games, workshops and watching TV are also possible in this area.
Several cosy seating areas have been created in the seating area, consisting of comfortable leather sofas and cosy wooden benches. In addition, there are seating areas with standing tables and matching bar stools, for playing cards or other board games. Thanks to the modern style of the furnishings, this room has a very light and spacious feel.
In the kitchen you will find a cooking island with a built-in deep fryer and extractor hood. There is also a dishwasher, a large fridge, coffee machines, a microwave oven and several kettles. As you would expect from a group accommodation for 44 people, there are plenty of work tables and storage space in the kitchen.
Is your group larger than 44 persons? The neighbouring group accommodation “Het Landhuis” is suitable for up to 24 people. Just book them both!
