The traditional fisherman's cottage lives up to its name; here you can experience how people lived on Urk in the 1940s-1950s. The shelter in Ut Kunstige Vissers Ussien contains a veritable water source, which became visible during the renovation. This water cellar, under the kitchen, will soon also be available to visit. Commissioned art
Janneke van Slooten has long been known as an artist on Urk with ‘Art in Commission’. The most beautiful paintings, postcards and drawings are available on request or can be found in the assortment. ‘I paint from my faith and passion for Urk, which is what I try to express in my work; commissioned by our God and Father,’ says Janneke.
