Over 3.8 metres below sea level, just outside the village of Zeewolde, lies Wijngoed Wilgenhorst. On the chalky clay soil, the first nine hundred vines were planted in 2012, and the tally now stands at over five and a half thousand vines. You can come here for a tour of the vineyard and a wine tasting of local produce: the one and only wines from Zeewolde.
The first harvest took place in 2014. The first wine was bottled from this in spring 2015.
Opening hours Friday: 12:00 - 17:00 Saturday: 10:00 - 17:00.
