The boatyard
Step on board the Batavia and you’ll find yourself back in the 17th century. At the boatyard you can discover how they once built these mighty trading ships over 300 years ago.
The museum
In the museum you can learn all about water management and how the biggest polder in the world, Flevoland, came into being. Batavialand is located in the very heart of Flevoland. Come and discover Flevoland’s unique history and how it continues to survive at three metres below sea level.
